This is more than a photo session; it's an invitation to engage in a personal journey of self-discovery and acceptance. Over the course of several hours, we create a space—be it in your home, a rented location, or my studio—that is private, calm, and free from judgment. Here, you're encouraged to present yourself authentically, embracing your individuality without expectations or predefined roles. The process is informed by principles of self-compassion and narrative identity, recognizing that seeing oneself through a compassionate lens can foster personal growth and resilience. By capturing honest, black-and-white portraits, we aim to reflect your inherent worth and the unique story you carry. This experience serves as a celebration of your journey, acknowledging milestones, transitions, or simply the desire to connect more deeply with yourself. The resulting images are not just photographs; they are affirmations of your identity and strength. It's a gift to yourself—a moment of reflection, recognition, and empowerment. What the Session Includes: +Session Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours of personalized photography +Setting: Your home, a rented space, or my studio +Image Delivery: Every image from the session—individually finessed with thoughtful tonal and lighting adjustments +Presentation: A professionally printed hardcover photo book (20–50 curated pages) shipped directly to you +Digital Access: Private, password-protected download link for your complete image set. Investment: $1,595 Each photograph is personally shaped—carefully adjusted for depth, light, and emotional tone—so the final body of work reflects the full story of your time in front of the lens. Nothing artificial, nothing filtered—just presence, nuance, and intention in every frame.
Cancellation Policy
Empowerment Portraiture is a private, black-and-white portrait session designed to honor presence, self-perception, and personal transformation. These sessions are collaborative, quiet, and unhurried. This document outlines the terms to ensure your experience is clear, respectful, and creatively open. +Booking & Confirmation All bookings are requests until confirmed. After submitting your preferred date and time, you will receive a confirmation email. If your requested slot is unavailable, we’ll offer alternatives. Your session is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email. Please wait before booking travel or space rentals. +Session Fee & Location Options The session fee is $1,595 and includes a 3–4 hour private photography experience. Locations may include: -Your home -A rented space -My studio You choose the space that best supports your comfort and self-expression. +Travel Fees Sessions within 25 miles of zip code 90068 are included. For locations beyond this radius, a travel fee of $1.00 per mile (round trip) will be added. Clients are responsible for parking, tolls, permits, and securing access to the chosen location. +Image Delivery & Adjustments You will receive all images from the session—carefully adjusted for tone, light, and composition. No traditional "retouching" is included; no alterations will be made to body or facial structure. +Final images are delivered via a password-protected download link active for 14 days. -You will also receive a professionally printed hardcover photo book (20–50 pages) curated from your session shipped directly to you. +Rescheduling You may reschedule with at least 7 days’ notice at no cost. Changes within 7 days incur a $150 rebooking fee. One reschedule allowed per session. +Cancellation All bookings are non-refundable. In case of emergency, credit may be applied to a future session at the photographer’s discretion. No-shows forfeit the session. +Copyright & Usage All images are the intellectual property of Nick Holmes Photo. Clients receive a license for personal, non-commercial use (e.g., private sharing, keepsakes). Images may not be sold, altered, filtered, or used for advertising or AI-generated derivatives without written permission. Nick Holmes Photo retains copyright and may use select images for portfolio, promotional, or educational purposes. Privacy requests must be made prior to the session. When presence replaces performance, the portrait becomes something else entirely.
